About Okatibbee

Okatibbee Water Park sits on Pine Springs Road off Highway 19 North, northwest of Meridian in Lauderdale County. The park fronts a 3,800-acre reservoir with 28 miles of shoreline — by far the largest body of water in the district — supporting year-round bass fishing and water skiing.

Developed camping areas offer 50-amp electrical service, with reserved inland and waterfront sites plus primitive camping. Four vacation cabins overlook the water, and a swimming beach, playground, and picnic areas round out the shore.

Two things set Okatibbee apart: American bald eagles visit the lake each December, and hunting is permitted in designated Corps of Engineers areas around the reservoir.
