This a picture of a Cypress Tree that started growing in 1195 and died in 1801. It was found floating in the Pascagoula River in 2004.

This is a picture of the steamboat "Alice" (owned by the Luce's of Lucedale at the time) docked near Plum Bluff at the mouth of Whites Creek prior to 1900. In 1900 the river changed course and left the steamboat landing high and dry! It's carrying pine rosin.
